49-Year-Old Hospitalized After Being Struck By Car In Oyster Bay

A man was hospitalized after being struck by a car while crossing a residential street on Long Island.

The incident occurred at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, in Oyster Bay.

According to Nassau County Police, the unidentified man, age 49, was walking south on Kellogg Street and was attempting to cross Burtis Avenue when he was struck by a black Subaru Outback driven by a 62-year-old woman.

The woman, traveling east on Burtis Avenue at the time of the accident, stayed at the scene, police said. She was not injured. 

The man struck by her car was transported to a local hospital to be treated and evaluated. He is reportedly in stable condition.

Police are investigating the incident.
